How we work
Same-day estimates.
Most people ringing about a staircase want one thing first: a number. We give you one before the working day ends, from whatever you can send us, and firm it up after the survey.
What to send
Anything that shows the job. A phone snap of the wall, the opening or the garden with the approximate drop scribbled on it. An architect's drawing. A tender package with a specification. A link to a listing if you are buying the property. The more we have, the closer the first figure will be to the final one.
What you get back
A written estimate by email, within the working day for anything that lands before mid-afternoon, showing what is included: design, fabrication, galvanising, powder coating, delivery and fitting. For tender packages we itemise against the specification so it can go straight into a bid.
From estimate to fixed price
The estimate is a budget figure. Once you are happy with it we book a free survey, measure the site, produce a scaled drawing, and the estimate then becomes a fixed quotation. That figure stays put unless the design changes.
For construction companies and architects
We are used to pricing from Bills of Quantities and NBS clauses, to supplying rates per metre for balustrades and per flight for stairs, and to responding within the deadline on a tender. Send the pack to the email address on this page and mark the return date.
Same-day estimates
Have a drawing, a photo or a tender pack? We will price it today.
Email it, send it through the form, or ring the workshop in East Grinstead and talk it through with the person who will design it.
