Glass modular round balustrade
A modular system uses standard round stainless posts, clamps and handrail fittings that assemble on site, which makes it fast to fit and easy to extend later. It is the workhorse of commercial glass balustrading.
What modular means
The posts, base plates, glass clamps, handrail brackets and end caps are standard components in grade 316 or 304 stainless. We cut the posts and handrail to length, order the glass to size, and the system goes together on site with no welding. Repairs and extensions use the same parts years later.
Where we fit it
Office receptions, shop mezzanines, school stairwells, car parks, communal balconies and modern homes. Round posts suit long straight runs and gentle curves and are the most economical modular option.
Compliance
Modular systems are load-tested by the manufacturer and we design the post spacing and glass thickness to BS 6180 for the use of the building. Drawings and test data are available for the specifier.

How quickly can a modular balustrade be fitted?
A typical run is fitted in a day once the glass has been made, which takes two to three weeks from the survey.
Can I have a timber handrail on a modular round system?
Yes. Timber and coated steel handrails fit the same brackets as stainless.
