Glass modular square balustrade
Square posts give the same modular convenience as round ones with a crisper, more geometric look that suits contemporary houses and glazed extensions.
The look
Square 40 or 50 mm stainless posts with flat clamps and a square or flat handrail line up with the frames of modern windows and doors. Against a rendered wall or a glass extension the effect is very clean.
Where it works
Roof terraces, decked balconies, stairs in modern interiors, and long runs of edge protection on commercial buildings. Square posts also make neat corners where two runs meet.
Satin stainless as standard
Grade 316 satin stainless for outside and coastal sites; grade 304 inside. Glass is toughened or laminated to suit the panel size and the loading, and can be clear, low-iron, satin or tinted.
Questions we are asked about Glass modular square balustrade
Round or square: which is stronger?
Both are designed to the same loads; the choice is purely about the look. Square posts cost slightly more.
Can square posts be powder coated black?
Yes. Coated mild steel square posts are an option where a black or anthracite finish is wanted, at a lower price than stainless.
